Elliott Clark - The 20 Year Old Jack Russell Terrier

Elliott's Bio

Elliott Clark was born on March 9th, 1990. Elliott was born deaf, and while some would think the loss of a dogs’ keen hearing would be a detriment, Elliott knew it just evened the playing field between he and lesser dogs. The first 11 years of Elliott’s life passed happily enough, but he always knew he was missing something. Never quite able to put his paw on it, he spent his days lying in the sun, dreaming of feline pursuits.

Elliott reached notoriety at the age of 11 when he decided to adopt two humans, Andrew and Suzanne Clark. The Clarks had spent their existence together in a state of utter doglessness (provided of course you can call that an existence) and were overjoyed at being chosen by Elliott. Many scoffed at the idea that a hearing impaired dog could raise two humans while still performing his canine duties, but they did not scoff for long.

The next 9 years were more fulfilling than any of the three could’ve imagined, each the missing piece to the others’ puzzle. The family also contained two cats, but no one here was judged by their species. The tailless did not envy those with tails, nor did the quadrupeds strive to be bipeds. The love and fulfillment Elliott had in his life allowed him to survive well over the normal life span for his kind, and when he did finally pass, it was only because he knew his family contained the strength to survive without him.
